By M.G. Today in class, we learned about how different factors affect the advancements and evolutions of varying societies, systems, races, and species. Notable factors are the environment, attitude, and how the organisms treat one another. For example, in New Guinea, the only large animal is the pig which is pretty much useless in terms of furthering a species. Although pigs provide a hearty source of meat, they cannot plow land, provide milk, or graze--they aren’t cows (as evidenced by the image on the right). At one point in class someone brought up how Asian parents may act with more discipline towards their kids than other parents. Whether it is grades, art, music or something else, raising kids in a disciplined way will end up in a more organized society with less chaos and will have very mature and responsible children. That could be why countries like Japan, China, and South Korea are so successful. Two examples of two different societies that have certain factors that adjust how successful their society is. To summarize , there are many factors that can go into how advanced a society is and/or can be. |

I think you brought up a good point on the cause and effect of civilizations and in any type of situation. But I think you could have improved your example on how pigs pigs are useless except for their meat.I couldn't really connect that to cause and effect.
