To start the class, there was a Do Now to copy the chart created yesterday into the double entry journal. After that, everyone went down to the gymnasium to take their pictures which surprisingly took no more than 6 or 7 minutes.
When we got back the first thing that happened was Ms Dordoni explaining the homework (Look at bottom for details). Next, after the homework was explained, we went into our groups, finalized our charts, and practiced our presentations. It was pretty simple simple since we already divided the parts the previous class. After the timer was up, groups started to present their work.
First up was the the group of three that focused on the Navajo creation myth. I have to admit that they did a good job in answering the questions on the smartboard. They also, answered all the questions that students asked. Unfortunately, the presentations stopped after that first group because there was no time left.
Overall, the class was very interesting and I look foward to continuing the lesson tomorrow. This was an important lesson because it is important to know about the beliefs of different customs. It has to do with social studies because it is related to different customs and people around the world.
Homework due tomorrow: For homework everyone had to respond to two different blog posts. Mrs. Dordoni explained how to comment and the comment format (feedback sandwich) . Also, the artifact project is due tomorrow. DON”T FORGET!!!
