Class started with completing a do now about differentiating between “prehistory” and “history.” We then discussed the do now responses and we got our homework out about what hominids are both similarities it is and differences between homo habilis, homo erectus, and homo sapiens… Then, we discussed our homework definitions in a “four corners” activity.
Second…. We got into groups to discuss about either Hominid, Homo habilis, Homo erectus, and last Homo sapiens. Next….Then the whole class talked out about what information that they knew about the 4 categories. After the whole class discussed about all four of the Homo category, we got a better understanding about all four of the categories. We talked about their body features, what they believed in, and more about them. After that…. the class got into 2 groups, People who finished their essay and People who need to still work on them.
Finally…. We talked about the “ Learning Target “ It was to distinguish between the social organization and use of land and natural resources between early hunter/ gatherers and those who lived in early agrarian societies. Then we went into the text book to find key terms, and talked/ took notes about Prehistory to the 1st Revolution, and Scholars. We ended the class with Belief, Values, and practices are Culture. Culture is handed down from one generation to another.
