Class started with a “DO NOW” about the Agricultural Revolution and what was the agricultural revolution and where it first took place. Next we took out Guns, Germs, and Steel Viewing Questions as we continued watching the film. The guys were the first farmers. There was no farming before this. I really like this video because it shows what these people had to do to survive. They didn't have great tools for hunting or for chopping wood. This must be really hard for them because the ice age had come and all the animals were dying and we don't have great tools for hunting. They have different ways for taking down big animals (elephants). We ended class with telling the students that we have a quiz and Mrs. Dordoni explained what we have to do on the quiz.
So we know how farming started and we know what they have to do to survive. This has to do with social studies because this is back in time when we were not developed yet. They are still developing.
Homework:
DUE TOMORROW: post questions
DUE MONDAY: answer people questions
