Today, as we walked into class we found large sheets of lined paper on some of the tables. Each of the sheets of paper displayed the IB Learner Profiles. For the do now, we walked around the class and wrote a little comment on 3 of the sheets, only the ones that really spoke to us.
The one that really spoke to me was the balanced profile. I play a few sports, and try to balance everything that I do between homework, soccer, baseball, and my social life.
Next, in class we received our progress reports up to today. It was meant to be a reminder if you were struggling in class to pick things up, or to show that you have been performing well in class. After we went over the progress reports, we discussed the Edmodo discussions and how to properly execute them.
Some people have been struggling with them, so Ms. Dordoni helped us to further understand. This lesson is important to our learning because if we follow the IB profiles we will be successful throughout the year. Also, being respectful is important for social skills. In my opinion, the lesson wasn't very intact with social studies, but since its respect week it has to do with that.
Homework:
Due tomorrow- 1. Get progress report preview signed for tomorrow. 2. Fill out reflection sheet with 2 goals for the rest of the quarter. 3. Hunter Gatherer sheet.
Due Thursday- Edmodo leaders post by 10 pm.
