Class started with students copying the learning objective into their left side of their double entry journal. The first thing we did was discussed the importance of witness corroboration in order to understand an event that took place.
Next, we read 3 different perspectives about a fight at lunch. Then we read ‘lunch brawl two’ and discussed sourcing, contextualizing, and corroborating. After that, Ms.Dordoni passed out ‘lunch fight: evidence context handout.’ Then we got directions to go around the room, and reading about the witnesses, and their perspectives of the fight.
It's important to learn because, a major part of history is trying to find the truth. it has to do with history because, we examine the different sources.
